100+ Plus Film Festival Rules

100+ Vision
- An International online film/video contest open to all Christian film makers/videographers.
- An opportunity for film makers to express their creative ideas about their hopes, dreams, visions for the future (the next 100+ years).
- A call for youth to visualize GodÍs future for their communities, their nations, their families, their church!
- A venue to assemble and distribute innovative films/videos that share the Good News of Christ in creative, attractive and relevant ways.
- A chance to win some great prizes (cameras, audio & lighting gear, software, gift certificates & scholarships, etc)!
- A chance to be a part of a fun and innovative online event which will feature a series of videocasts focusing on one contestant per episode, including a personal interview with the entrant and an audition of their film, culminating with the final awarding of prizes on October 4, 2008.
100+ Purpose
In recognition of the denominationÍs "Centennial Celebration" in October 2008, we are giving youth the opportunity to participate by creatively expressing their hopes and dreams for their church & their world in the next 100 plus years!
Prizes
The 100+ Plus Film Fest is a contest and prizes will be awarded for our top 20 films. An additional prize will be awarded to our "viewers choice" film rated by the users of this website.

Film Categories
Entries may be in one of two specified categories, of your choice:
- Category 1: Short Film (10 minutes or less)
- Category 2: One minute challenge (30- 60 second "commercial spot")
100+ Themes
"My VISION for the next 100 years" is the theme for our contest.
Creatively show us your hopes, dreams, aspirations for your world, community, nation, family, church in the next future (next 100 plus years)
"Jump Start Quotes" - contestants will be asked to select one of following quotations to "jump start" their creative thinking. This quotation will then serve as a synopsis and films should reflect the essence of the selected quote. Quote options (note # 11 is contestantÍs choice):

- FREE CHOICE (a quote of your choice that better reflects your culture / language / context -- (perhaps from a well known artist, musician, author, or leader in your context)
Participation
Any Christian film/video who create and submit their entries according to the contest guidelines, on or before the submission due date of July 1, 2008.
Schedule
- Contest promotions will begin online and via mail distribution, December 2007 to January 2008.
- Final submission of entries-all entries must be postmarked by July 1, 2008.
- During the month of September 2008 we will begin broadcasting online a series of videocasts featuring one contestant per episode, including a personal interview with the entrant and an audition of their film, culminating with the final awarding of prizes on October 4, 2008.
Judging
The 100 Plus selection committee will be a panel of international, professional producers. The judges will choose the films accepted into the Festival and those receiving awards, based on the set criteria as the committee determines in its sole discretion.
After online application forms are submitted, applicants will be contacted by email and given further instructions on how to proceed. Entrants whose films are accepted into the final stage may be required to execute additional releases, and other documentation specified by 100 Plus.
Judging Schedule:
- From January - July 2008, all accepted films will be uploaded onto our website for combined evaluation by viewers and by the selection committee. By August 2008 the entries will be reduced to the top qualifying films.
- From August - September 2008, the selection committee will give one final evaluation and select the award-winning entries in each category (Short Film or One Minute Challenge).
- From September 8 - October 3, 2008 we will broadcast a series videocasts featuring one finalist per episode, including a personal interview with the entrant and an audition of their film.
- On October 4th, 2008, the WINNERS and AWARDS will be announced in a final videocast.
How to Enter
To enter the 100 Plus Film Fest, simply submit the online entry form as directed, complete your film/video production, and send your entry to the appropriate address, along with the following items:
- A copy of your film/video on DVD or MiniDV tape.
- The DVD or MiniDV tape should also include a short "self interview" that expresses your name, location, hobbies/interests, personal testimony and why you created this film, along with any B-roll, still photos, bloopers, etc, that could be included in our videocasts
- A copy of your script / storyboard, including a brief synopsis of your film (in English).
- A completed copy of the printable PDF "Film Submission Form."
Entries should adhere to these guidelines
- Format - can be shot in any video/film format but the end product must be submitted on DVD or MiniDV format.
- Language -- ANY language as long as it has English subtitles
- All films submitted for judging must be original productions and appropriate for a public audience. 100 Plus reserves the right to reject any Film.
- The use of copyrighted materials (audio or visual) is discouraged, and may only be used with expressed written permission from the copyright holder. If you use copyrighted materials, your submission must include this information on the Film Submission Form.
- Duplication and distribution rights for all submitted materials will be granted to "100PlusFilmFest" by contestants, indicated on the Film Submission Form.
- Production and submission of film entries can begin immediately after online application is approved (between December \'07 to July \'08), but the FINAL SUBMISSION DUE DATE for all entries is July 1, 2008.
We recommend that you send your submission materials via registered courier (such as Federal Express, DHL, or UPS). You are responsible to pay for all postage expenses.
For international submissions, clearly mark your package: "For Temporary Cultural Purposes Only - Without Commercial Value."

Important Notes
There is no entry fee to submit films to the "100 Plus Film Festival", but contestants must shoulder the costs of production and postage.
100 Plus shall not be held responsible for delays or cancellations due to equipment failure, shipping delays, or the condition of the films delivered.
All DVD / MiniDV copies of films accepted for the "100 Plus Film Festival" shall remain with us for educational, promotional and inspirational purposes.
Any group or individual submitting a film for entry into The Festival confirms that they hold all necessary rights for the submission and has given the legal authority to grant such rights to The Festival.
Further, they have read, understand, and agree with 100 Plus Film Festival rules and guidelines.
